Dog nerd scientist who makes stuff out of cows.
The word "eclectic" applies to me and my operation -- I'm a scientist by day, a wannabe dog trainer by night, and a leathercrafter in the spare moments between. I strive to create unique designs and products that will last a lifetime. I'm an Atlanta native (yes, we exist) now based in Stone Mountain, Georgia.
What the heck does "Mackerras" mean?
Because I imagine everyone kind of wants to ask but doesn't. Mackerras Hollow is the name of our small residential farm. My husband and I chose this name in honor of Drs. Ian and Josephine Mackerras, who were an influential Australian couple in the fields of parasitology and zoology. Since we are also a parasitologist parasitologist couple, and at least one of us is Australian, we figured it was a suitable name.

This should go without saying, but everything you see here is completely hand made, even down to the stitching. Every product is made of full-grain leather, with a side of blood, sweat, and tears.
