Tooled Buckle Collars - 1.5" width
Heavy-duty collars designed, carved, tooled, dyed, and sewn all by hand. Functional, wearable art for your pup made the old-fashioned way!
The "body" of the collar is 8-10 oz American veg tan leather; most styles will be dyed a medium English tan to emphasize the tooled design (if you prefer a darker finish, please indicate in the notes). Collars are backed and stitched for two-ply durability with a layer of 4-5 oz veg tan which is left un-dyed to avoid dye rub-off.
The buckles used are eye-catching 1" stainless steel oval "bridle-style" pieces as shown, plus a D ring and flat-backed Chicago screws. (Other buckle options are available -- please inquire if interested).

Customization Options
I. DESIGN
First, choose from one of 16 creative designs below (click to enlarge). If you would like to see additional images of a design, please check out the Etsy store or simply give me a holler.
For buckle collars, these designs may be framed with a geometric or basketweave pattern to fill in "blank" space. Have a look at some examples in my store and various galleries if curious.
II. SIZE
Length reflects the TOTAL LENGTH of the collar from the heel of the buckle to the tip. 4-5 holes will be placed 2" from the tip of the collar (Example: A 20" collar will have holes from 14-18"). Please see the diagram below.
This heavy-duty style ends up being around 3/8" thick when finished, so please consider that in measurements. You may need an inch or two of additional length versus a thin nylon collar.

III. THREAD
All of my collars are saddle-stitched completely by hand -- no machines in sight! The image below shows thread colors available for optional customization. Otherwise, if you have no preference, it will be "maker's choice".

For direct orders, please contact me and I will send an order form for the style of interest. After you fill that out, I will contact you to confirm details and provide a price quote.
Gift certificate holders -- Use the direct contact as described above; please include the Certificate No. in the correspondence (found in the middle of the certificate).
Lead time for custom orders is 2 - 4 weeks depending heavily on my schedule (sadly, this isn't my day job) and number of active orders. I will let you know if a delay is expected. Also, please view the pre-made offerings in my shop; I may just have the collar of your dreams already on hand!
