Custom Martingale Collars with Name 1.5" width
Heavy-duty collars designed, carved, tooled, dyed, and sewn all by hand. Functional, wearable art for your pup made the old-fashioned way!
The body of the collar is 8-10 oz American veg tan leather, saddle stitched by hand and backed for durability with a layer of 4-5 oz veg tan left natural to avoid dye rub-off. Finally, I use a wax- and lacquer-based finish to provide superior protection and gloss while avoiding the "plasticky" feel of acrylic-based finishes.
The martingale hardware is high-quality chrome-plated welded stainless steel (8", 2.5mm chain) which is both stitched in place and fastened with flat-backed Chicago screws. (Note: Prefer a leather loop instead of a chain? We can make that happen!)

I. FONT STYLE
Hand-tooled lettering in one of the font options given in the diagram below. Not simply another alphabet stamp set! I am also happy to produce a proof/preview of the name in any of the given styles.
II. TEXT COLOR
The lettering is painted with vibrant Angelus leather paints. I can mix just about any color, including metallics
III. PATTERN
Optional -- Decorative stamping pattern framing the name on the collar (see options in images). This can also be left plain if that is your preference. More coming soon....
IV. THREAD
All of my collars are saddle-stitched completely by hand -- no machines in sight! The image below shows thread colors available for optional customization. Otherwise, if you have no preference, it will be "maker's choice".
V. SIZE
The length reflects the total open circumference of the martingale collar including hardware as measured along the outside of the collar.
IMPORTANT: Review the guide below for instructions on how to measure your dog (click to enlarge). These collars are around 3/8" thick when finished, so erring on the side of slightly larger is safest.
This style is not adjustable, nor can I accept returns on name collars, so PLEASE measure carefully!

For direct orders, please contact me and I will send an order form for the style of interest. After you fill that out, I will contact you to confirm details and provide a price quote.
Gift certificate holders -- Use the direct contact as described above; please include the Certificate No. in the correspondence (found in the middle of the certificate).
Lead time for custom orders is 2 - 4 weeks depending heavily on my schedule (sadly, this isn't my day job) and number of active orders. I will let you know if a delay is expected. Also, please view the pre-made offerings in my shop; I may just have the collar of your dreams already on hand!
